Notes on using QuadEqn.xls

This worksheet shows the sequence of steps in solving a quadratic equation by a graphical method.
It enables the teacher to quickly generate examples and emphasize the stages involved giving an overview of the method. It can also be used to give students a problem to do and check their answers, although you might want to give them a smaller range to plot. It assumes students are familiar with how to make a table of values for a quadratic graph.
