Notes on using Pythagoras.xls

This worksheet can be used to generate routine questions on solving triangles using Pythagoras Theorem for class demonstration and practice or for individual revision later on.

You can chose between problems on finding the Hypotenuse given the other two sides or finding the third side given the Hypotenuse and one other side or a random mixture of these.

his helps to establish the differences in the method in these cases.

The answer and/or working can be shown or hidden.

I use this projected on to a white board when explaining the methods.

It is also useful for quick revision later on.

There are two versions: XP for Excel 2002 onwards and 2k for Excel 2000.
