Notes on using Transform.xls

These worksheets allow a “flag” shape to be translated, reflected, rotated or enlarged.

The result can be hidden and then shown for use with questioning a class or self testing.

In the translation sheet the vector can also be hidden to allow “Here is the shape, what is the vector?” and “Here is the vector, where is the shape?” type questions.

In the reflection sheet bottons are provided to quickly select the most common reflection lines.

In the rotation sheet the angle can be incremented in 90 degree steps by clicking inside the slider rather than on the arrow.

I have also used this to produce paper worksheets by hiding the result and then printing it out (you will need to set a suitable print area).
