Notes on using Trig.xla

This is an excel add-in which defines the functions sind(x), cosd(x), tand(x), asind(x), acosd(x) and atand(x).

These give the usual trig functions but working in degrees instead of radians as for the standard excel functions.

To use the add-in copy it to a suitable location such as the excel add-ins directory or office library directory.

Then go to tools and click add-ins.

Click browse and go to the location you copied the Trig.xla file to.

Select it and click ok.

Then select the check box next to it in the add-ins list.

This should add the above functions which should appear in the Maths and Trig section of the function wizard together with brief descriptions.

Try them out and see if they work.
