A list of free stuff you might find useful:

Calendar Magic Great freeware calendar toolkit plus calculator and loads of other things.

CactusVPN A good and inexpensive Virtual Private Network provider which offers a free trial vpn account and excellent features including a free trial for Smart DNS service. It has servers in the UK, US and Netherlands which means if you are living elsewhere you can use it to access sites and services from those countries that are normally restricted to people who live there. This can be great for teachers or students living abroad.
Another use is to test out how your website behaves as if you were in the US or Europe which can help you optimise your site for search engines (SEO).
If you are concerned about privacy a vpn service gives you a high degree of anonimity when you are on the internet and makes using normally insecure WiFi hotspots such as those in airports much safer as the data gets encrypted.
The setup is easy using the CactusVPN software and you can have a free 24hr trial without having to give any credit card details.
